Description du produit

Venus Diamond is depressed. On leave for a year from her job as an agent for the U.S. Department of the Interior's Fish and Wildlife Service, Venus is settling into married life and should be blissfully happy. Right? So what's wrong? Her boss at Fish and Wildlife, Oly Olson, doesn't particularly care what it is that's bothering her. All he knows is that he needs his best investigator back for a very personal case: the murder of his friend and colleague Dr. Hannah Strindberg, the lead scientist at Breedhaven, an elite research center owned by Fish and Wildlife and located on Helix Island in northern Puget Sound. Breedhaven's mission is the rescue of endangered species by harvesting, freezing, and eventually cloning the embryos of its rare animals. A controversial and fairly secretive operation, this avenue of research has gained the center and its directors many enemies. The question is, Who has strength and opportunity enough to kill for his or her beliefs? Venus Diamond, reluctant but unable to say no to her boss, is on the case once again. In Skye Kathleen Moody's sure hands, Habitat is a spellbinding, quirky, and yet powerfully realistic story, and should impress fans and newcomers alike.
